Corissa, a Los Angeles based artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Art, is currently pursuing her MFA, where she continues to refine her vision and technical skill.  Her artistic approach is rooted in attention to detail, blending the timeless elegance of old masters with a contemporary critique of the often fraught aspects of womanhood. Drawing from themes such as aging, commodification and objectification of the body, and physical and psychological autonomy, her work unravels layers of societal pressures while encouraging engagement with uncomfortable realities surrounding femininity, agency, and self-worth.
